Cast iron's decline against pressed steel took the toy line down through the 1930s, and Dent ceased toy production in 1937 while the hardware business continued. The company's name is now a nuisance to collectors for an unrelated reason: a search for "Dent" returns an ocean of automotive dent-repair tools.
